There are currently two locations where I teach classes in knitting, weaving, spinning, felting and fulling. Unfortunately, between the current pandemic issues and then one of those locations undergoing a move, I've scaled waaayyyy back. As classes become available, I'll upload the flyers used in advertising to this page. Each contains the contact info for signing up. Patterns used in classes are usually found on the separate pages shown in the Menu.
Please don't leave messages on this site since I don't regularly check it for such. You can always email me at email@example.com or through Ravelry as "kpj" (look for the bunny).
Rigid heddle weaving classes are held at Paulding Fine Arts Association in Dallas and the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center in Rockmart, GA. The class flyers are shown below.
Students are encouraged to explore different colors and textures as they create a project. Classes encompass many of the same skills with some differences in time involved, instruction, and materials.
The next classes scheduled for 2023 are shown below.
May 6, Saturday Weaving Workshop
10:30AM - 5:00PM at Paulding location.
Optional: Come anytime on First Fridays Fiberarts to get a jump on warping the loom. 11:00AM - 2:00PM
NOTE: Optional loom warping will occur on Friday, May 5th, for the May 6th class.
Preregistration is required, so please email me to sign up. Let me know which site and class you prefer since paperwork and payment options are different.
If you sign up through either business (including their Facebook pages), please send me an email to ensure you're on my class list. I only work with 4 beginners in any one class setting so everyone gets lots of attention.
The new PFAA site is located east of the courthouse complex on Hwy 278 at Seaboard Drive, near the Ace Hardware and Piece of Heaven Bakery. The address is 105 Village Walk, Suite 181 (around the back side). You can sign up for classes through their Facebook page.
The RCAC is located in downtown Rockmart in the same complex as the Police Station, Public Library, and City Hall. The address is 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300
First Fridays Fiberarts
Looking for fellow fiber entusiasts to craft with? PFAA hosts the first Friday of each month as a day (11-3) open to any fiber artisan that wants to drop in and work on their weaving, knitting, crochet, spinning, etc. in a friendly, low-key setting. Please bring all your own equipment and supplies. There is no formal instruction, just lots of helpful support for something you're working on.
Don't forget the Piece of Heaven bakery and coffee shop is just around the corner!
